At Key Stage 3 students cover a range of Biology, Chemistry and Physics topics designed to build a sound knowledge and understanding of key physical concepts as well as develop students’ interest and enthusiasm for the subject. During Key Stage 3 students are given numerous opportunities to develop their investigative skills and develop a critical approach to scientific evidence. Throughout Key Stage 3, and particularly at the end of Year 9, students are introduced to GCSE content to help prepare them for their GCSE course.
ASDAN Animal Care Short course is taught as alternative for certain classes or individual students. This course allows students to complete activities and involvement in caring for all types of animals. This could range from looking after domestic pets at home, to working with farm animals and wildlife in the community, to finding out about more exotic species at zoos and wildlife. The flexibility of ASDAN's Short Courses means they can be carried out in a variety of settings, over a time period to suit the individual student.
